Yoga classes in Florence

COLONNA

POLE & POSTURALE © ASD

At Colonna Pole & Postural ASD we offer yoga courses thanks to our collaboration with Aiyoga Firenze. You will go down a path in search of total knowledge of your body. Over time you will come to know every part of it, understand its limits and respect them.

Vinyasa

Vinyasa has a specific meaning but the word is used by extension to refer to a fluid and continuously moving style of yoga, supported by breathing. Vinyasa means the flow of things, the meaning behind each step and its importance for the next. Vinyasa is breath and movement. The transition between one position and another happens in communion with breathing, which helps to achieve perfect alignment of the body during the execution of the asanas, or positions. Total breath control is of central importance in dynamic yoga, as it provides an essential aid in the transition between the different positions. Breath is the very source of movement.

Our lessons are open to people of all levels of experience: together we practise, learn and grow.

We firmly believe that beginners are stimulated and motivated by performing asanas, or positions, together with people who are already well-versed in them.

Lessons last an hour and a quarter. Each has a different sequence, so you can approach different types of postures, building strength and flexibility in every part of your body.

Respect for the discipline

Absolute fidelity in maintaining the asanas, or positions, as per tradition.

Awareness

Adjusting, correcting, pushing and encouraging students by making them arrive at full accuracy and awareness in their every movement.

Constancy

Deep knowledge of the body, acquired through constant study and practice.

ASKA MATSUO

My name is Aska. It all started for me in Japan, where I was born and raised, until the time came for me to change. Was it fate? I don't know, but I chose Florence as my destination. That's where I discovered yoga, and it was love at first sight. Later, through constant practice, I realized it was my path. Teaching is the most beautiful gift I have ever received. The happiness I feel guiding my students through their journeys is confirmation for me.

ILARIA CIAPPINA

My name is Ilaria. I was born and raised in Florence. I started practicing yoga in a particular period of my life, and it was like a shock to me. It wasn't just a distraction, it was like something growing inside me, and as time passed and my practice became more and more solid, I realized yoga had become an integral part of me. This is how my journey began, and with time and study came the need and desire to pass this passion on to others.
